UNFPA Strengthening Availability and Access to family planning commodities

Implementing partner on the UNFPA Strengthening Availability and Access to Family Planning Commodities | DrugDash

DrugDash implementation aided redistribution of family planning commodities using a decision support system focused on supporting lower administrative levels of the supply chain, so that data and information are utilized. This resulted into increased access to family planning methods of choice for women and young people through improved decision making on the redistribution of family planning commodities in the districts. SDS led the baseline assessment in Kitgum and Lamwo districts covering 25 health facilities.

The results showed DrugDash to be scalable as a decision support tool to improve availability and access of health commodities in Uganda. SDS also developed an activity monitoring evaluation and learning plan (AMELP) for DrugDash. OutBox was the lead implementer of this activity in Uganda and SDS was an implementing partner.
