USAID Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally

Evaluation services provider on the USAID Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally | SPRING

SPRING focused on improving lives, especially in the first 1,000 days, by working across food, health, and hygiene, through linking agriculture and nutrition, aiming for social and behaviour change through communication, building the evidence base for what works, and through “big picture thinking” through a systems approach to improving nutrition.

SDS led the endline assessment in Uganda as well as supported various studies around micro-nutrient powder uptake and implementation as well as nutrition assessment and counselling support (NACS) in Uganda. Specifically, one study involved carrying out a census of all children below 24 months and subsequently surveying 1,760 respondents targeted without replacement. Policy briefs and peer reviewed publications were developed as a result of this work. JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) was the prime implementer of this activity.
